Saudi Xerox and the kingdom’s digital transformation outlook<\/h1>\n

Mehmet Sezer, general manager of Saudi Xerox, explains the key technologies that will help Saudi Arabia meet its Vision 2030 goals<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tue 24 Aug 2021 09:17 AM<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]As Saudi Arabia amps up investment in its goals to achieve Vision 2030 \u2013 which includes aims to diversify the economy away from a dependence on hydrocarbons \u2013 technology is playing a crucial role.<\/p>\n

Both public and private sector entities in the country are doing their bit to help the kingdom meet its targets, which are based around three key themes: Vibrant society, thriving economy and ambitious nation.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of the main directives for Vision 2030 is diversification away from an economy based on natural resources to become a digitally enabled hub for trade, innovation and investment through the implementation of digital technology,\u201d said Mehmet Sezer, general manager of\u00a0Saudi Xerox<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Transformative technologies<\/h3>\n

He adds that the digital transformation process isn\u2019t limited to specific sectors, but is being applied across the board at different levels, including in the transportation, education, healthcare, oil and gas, finance, utilities and energy sectors.<\/p>\n

Investment and research into specific technologies can aid organisations\u2019 digital transformation journey, Sezer adds. \u201cThe only way to realise this opportunity will be through large-scale adoption of transformative digital solutions such as artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, cloud computing, the internet of things (IoT), and augmented and virtual reality (AR and VR).\u201d<\/p>\n

From a technological standpoint, Saudi Xerox\u2019s objective of enabling a modern workplace is being tackled through offering clients access to its Intelligent Workplace Services (IWS).<\/p>\n

Automation = efficiency<\/h3>\n

Intelligent Workplace Services offers a suite of apps designed to bolster employee productivity, as paper documents transition into digital content and automated pipelines. All of this leads to better-controlled long-term costs, improved user experiences and enhanced security.<\/p>\n

\u201cIntelligent Workplace Services has a portfolio of capabilities that uses analytics, workflow automation, content management, security solutions and print infrastructure optimisation to help workplaces become more efficient, employees more productive and data more secure.<\/p>\n

\u201cSaudi Xerox helps them to streamline and automate processes, manage hardware, software and data. Flexibility, remote access and simplicity are making it simpler than ever for organisations to embrace the cloud.\u201d<\/p>\n

Having first established a presence in the kingdom in 1986, Saudi Xerox has witnessed its remarkable economic growth. And as the kingdom\u2019s economy has developed, so has its government\u2019s way of doing things. \u201cThe Saudi government has evolved alongside the rapid global technology development and government and institutional trends,\u201d said Sezer.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt has replaced traditional processes with digital ones, developing five-year plans to achieved quality and efficiency.\u201d As part of this, it is working to position itself as a digital innovators to facilitate services.<\/p>\n

Sezer points to the Digital Transformation Unit as an example of this. \u201cThis primary programme in achieving the kingdom’s Vision 2030 promotes digital transformation. It provides strategic guidance, expertise and supervision through cooperation with government and private agencies to raise the kingdom\u2019s index globally. It aims to realise the highest digital development through sustainable economic development, enhancing innovation and values through investing in young talent.\u201d<\/p>\n

The sustainability agenda<\/h3>\n

A key part of this process is sustainability. \u201cGovernments are proactively working towards their sustainability objectives and enterprises are following their lead.<\/p>\n

We strive to maintain the highest standards for preserving our environment and enhancing the health and safety of our employees and communities. In the printing sphere, Saudi Xerox is offering a\u00a0number of solutions<\/a>\u00a0to its clients, who can benefit from a broad range of applications, from book and photo publishing to direct marketing, packaging printing, transactional marketing and triggered direct mail.<\/p>\n

Saudi Xerox already offers e-statements, archiving and content management solutions in partnership with leading Banks in the kingdom, and recently launched exam evaluation workflow services for a leading aviation operator in the market, supporting its evaluation and screening solutions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
